ISO 14001 Update to 2015
The new ISO14001:2015 Standard was published on 15th September 2015. The 2004 version will remain valid during the 3 year transition period. 18 months after publication, all accredited certificates will be to ISO14001:2015.
There are significant changes within the new release. Key changes include:
The adoption of Annex SL. In lay terms this means a common framework including major clause headings across all standards (including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001)
Consideration for the "Context of the Organisation"
Leadership and Commitment replace Management Responsibility, the emphasis shifting from ensuring to engaging
The consideration of risk and opportunities throughout the process approach
Less reliance on documented systems
Process focused approach
