The new ISO 9001:2015 Standard was published on 15th September 2015. The 2008 Version will remain valid during the 3 year transition period. 18 months after publication, all accredited certificates will be to ISO 9001:2015.
There are significant changes with the new release. Key changes include:
Consideration for the "context of the organisation"
Leadership and Commitment replace Management Responsibility, the emphasis shifting from ensuring to engaging
The role of the Management Representative has been removed
The consideration of risk and opportunities throughout the process approach
Less reliance on documented systems with no mandate for a Quality Policy or certain procedures
Process focused approach.
